Little Lagos is a documentary series made on and around Rye Lane in Peckham, south London, by Nigerian photographer Adisa Olashile. Begun on Easter Sunday 2025, it follows the Nigerian community that has made this stretch of the city its own: traders setting out fruit before dawn, families leaving church in agbada and gele, market halls where suya smoke meets the smell of jollof rice.

Olashile grew up in Nigeria before moving to London, and he works slowly, talking with people before he raises the camera and shooting almost entirely in natural light. One frame he calls Yoruba Dior, two women walking Rye Lane in traditional dress, sets the terms: this is not about blending in. Heritage and modern life are not in competition here, they are the same street.
